For a film about a killer on the loose on a camp, the franchise has had a surprising amount of longevity that continues to withstand the test of time to this day. Yet, that's exactly what happened, and here we are over 35 years after the original film’s release still celebrating the franchise. No one in 1980 could have ever imagined the sheer impact that the year's first Friday film would stir in moviegoers, nor that this one film would produce a phenomenon of a franchise featuring an undead zombie named, Jason Voorhees, as the series' figurehead. Jason has over 12 installments which brings twelve skins to the game as well as the molten Tom Savini Jason from F13 the game, Jarvis, Laurie, and Nancy were the original final characters of slasher movies we all come to know and love today but sadly they brought us Quentin instead of Nancy. All i hope for is if or when he arrives he isn't an overpowered character like Nemesis or as some would mention Pinhead, the game has the potential to bring the legend in and i don't see them skipping over the chance especially considering the fact that we will never see Jeepers creepers or chucky in the fog. Jason Voorhees should have kicked the game off with a banger of an appearance and hopefully we finally get the chance to see the man behind the iconic hockey mask rise from the mist and do the entities bidding. Jason voorhees should have been the first Licensed killer way back before this lawsuit began but they instead brought us Cannibal, while yes cannibal was fun at first now its nothing but insidious stalking on all platforms. I personally have friends who said if Voorhees was in the game they would buy it and finally give it a chance, we all stream games and i would love to have Tommy Jarvis and Voorhees butting heads on stream. Not only would this grant them a huge amount of income do to everyone wanting Voorhees but it would draw more people to the game as a whole.
